COLUMBIA, S.C., October 25, 2006 - The
Brooklyn Navy Yard cogeneration facility, operated
by Primesouth’s Palmark subsidiary, was honored for
its outstanding health and safety programs at a
special ceremony Oct. 18 at the plant in Brooklyn,
N.Y.
The U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety
and Health Administration has awarded the facility a
Star designation, the highest status given in OSHA’s
Voluntary Protection Programs. VPP participants
successfully incorporate comprehensive safety and
health programs into their systems.
The Brooklyn Navy Yard Cogeneration facility is
the first physical site in New York City to receive
the Star designation.
