We have considerable expertise in power plant start
up, mobilization, commissioning and commercial
operations. Our experience with power generation
ranges from large gas turbine facilities, using ABB
11Ns, GE-7FAs, EAs, LM 6000s, aeroderivative, and
Siemens V84s, to small and medium-sized coal,
biomass and synthetic fuel facilities.

Site-specific Environmental Programs
Primesouth was among the first in the industry to
have site-specific environmental programs. We
regularly conduct audits of the facilities we work
with and provide solutions for enhancing operating
efficiency and flexibility, minimizing environmental
impacts, and reducing maintenance and emergency
response costs.
Primesouth’s Brooklyn Navy Yard facility was
recently recognized by the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency as a National Performance Track
member, a high honor and acknowledgment of our
exceptional environmental management program. The
facility utilizes a state-of-the-art water treatment
system to produce the water required for the million
pounds of steam provided to the utility.
Award-winning Safety Programs
Our exemplary safety record at Primesouth is widely
recognized. Two Primesouth facilities were recently
awarded top honors from the South Carolina
Occupational Safety Council: The Winyah Synfuel
Project, operated and maintained by Primesouth at
the Santee Cooper Generating Station, and the
Savannah River Facility. The staff at the Savannah
River facility also won the Palmetto Safety
Excellence Award.
In addition, the Brooklyn Navy Yard Cogeneration
facility in Brooklyn, N.Y., operated and maintained
by Palmark, Inc., a subsidiary of Primesouth, was
recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency as a National Performance Track member.
Performance Track rewards facilities that
voluntarily exceed regulatory requirements,
implement systems for improving environmental
management; work with their communities, and set
three-year goals for improvements in environmental
performance.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA) also recently awarded the Brooklyn Navy Yard
facility its top `STAR'' rating for excellence in
workplace health and safety. OSHA Star status is the
highest U.S. government award for excellence in
safety.

At Primesouth, we understand the important role your

everything we can to help you be a good community

actively pursue opportunities in power projects.
